Join mother, actress, director and business owner Meridith Grundei as she guides you through experiences and practices designed to help you gain access to your own presence in your often chaotic and complicated creative life. Through laughter, deep play, improvisational exercises, conversations, and meditation, you will experience the power of presence and learn to see the strength in your own vulnerability so you don't go f*cking crazy.
Meridith C. Grundei is an award winning performer and director. She holds a M.F.A. in Contemporary Performance from Naropa University in Boulder, CO. She has performed with numerous companies throughout the United States including the American Conservatory Theatre, iO Chicago, Baby Wants Candy, Sprung Movement Theatre, Strawdog Theatre, The Evergreen Players, square product theatre, WreckingBall Theater Lab, LOCAL Theatre Company, The Denver Center (Off-Center at the Jones), and Playback Theatre West.
She is a proud member of The Catamounts in Boulder, CO where she has been seen in Mr. Spacky....The Man Who Was Continuously Followed by Wolves as Edwina, God's Ear as Mel (Recipient of the 2011 Camera Eye Award for Best Actress in a Drama), The Three Faces of Dr. Crippen as Cora, Messenger #1 as Messenger #3 (Nominated as Best Actress in a Comedy for the 2012 Culture West, True West Awards), Failure...A Love Story as Jenny June, and Mr. Burns, a post-electric play as Susannah.
As a director, Meridith's credits include: Escanaba in Da Moonlight by Jeff Daniels and Paul Sills' Story Theatre for the Evergreen Players, Moulin Scrooge by Peter Gwinn for The Catamounts in collaboration with The Band of Toughs, One Act a fully improvised play for the Boulder International Fringe Festival, There is A Happiness That Morning Is by Mickle Maher for The Catamounts and Normal Heights in collaboration with Jim Walker and Gary Grundei.
Prior to moving to Colorado, Meridith worked as Associate Faculty for The Second City Training Center in Chicago, IL where she was instrumental in the development of the children’s program. She has worked as Adjunct Faculty for Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado in the undergraduate program and as a Guest Artist in the Masters Program. In 2013 Meridith was invited as a Guest Artist to work at the CounterPulse in San Francisco, CA. where she collaborated with war veterans and performers for an original performance for ECHOTHEATRESUTCASE. She has taught improvisation at the Omega Institute in Upstate NY and is currently working on her own project with the working title, Cul.de.sac.
Meridith is active in the film and TV community, is a professional Voice Over artist, talent coach, producer and a member of the National Speakers Association.
