About Jessica

Jessica Hoolsema is an alumni member of Shakespeare in Prison, a program of Detroit Public Theatre. While an ensemble member of SIP, Jessica played multiple roles; including Lord Capulet in Romeo and Juliet, Katharina in The Taming of the Shrew, Iago in Othello, and Queen Elizabeth in Richard III.

Since returning to society, Jessica has acted in small roles for local non-profit organization fundraisers. In the fall of 2018, Jessica will be co-facilitating a Shakespeare program for individuals in the LGBQT community, in which participants will use theatre and the works of Shakespeare to explore what it means to be human.
