Azul Otra Vez (Blue, Revisited)

March 9

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Azul Otra Vez (Blue, Revisited(work-in-progress) is a musical adaptation of Rubén Darío’s poetry and short stories created and directed by Tatiana Pandiani, with book writer Melis Aker, composer/lyricist Jacinta Clusellas, and choreographer Paloma Munoz.

The piece combines the author’s main characters into one tale about a king who selects entertainers to live and work on his land. When a poet arrives, he introduces the king and his people to the power of words and stories. The book and lyrics are in Spanish with simultaneous English translation, and the score is a Latin jazz and folklore fusion.
