Suellen Primost  |  Performance

Statera Foundation is excited to host the inaugural performance of, "The Red Thread", created and performed by Christine Jugueta, on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Christine will be joined by Rona Figueroa (Guitarist, Vocalist), Penny Larson (Drummer, Percussionist), Suellen Primost (Cellist), Eileen Rivera (Director), Belinda Yamate (Vocalist, Dramaturg, Co-Producer).

About Suellen

A seasoned cellist, sound healer, recording artist, improviser, composer, producer, ceremonialist and storyteller, Suellen Primost is known for her soulful expressivity, creative imagination and versatility across genres, ranging from Classical, Ambient and Jazz to many types of World Music including Celtic, Roma, Turkish, Arabic and Indian Classical. For over a decade, Suellen served as Music Director for The Artship Ensemble, an innovative dance theatre company based in San Francisco, creating scores for 10 productions and traveling with the company to international festivals in Prague and Belgrade. Suellen also wrote and directed “Ascension - A Tribute to Newtown,“ “Inanna’s Journey,” “Whales in The Night,” “Celebrating the Divine Feminine.” and served as Music Director for “Bone Songs - Hymns to an Unknown Mother.”  

Suellen has played on numerous recordings including “Starlings” and “Shibui, Subtle Beauty” and for film. She has also performed at WOMAD, Yoga at Grace Cathedral, the Science and Non-Duality (SAND) Conference, Samavesha’s Rose Labyrinth Inner Journeys and several workshops and classes including Theatre of the Feminine’s Art and Creativity Workshops, Contact Improv and Breathwork classes, Medicine and Sound Healing Ceremonies and Ecstatic Poetry Salons. She currently performs with Jeremy Marais in The Murmurations Duo, with Sonic Shamanic, The Espiritu Ensembles, Rumi’s Caravan, Gary Hegedus, Laura Inserra, Shivpreet Singh, Christine Tulis and Clare Hedin.
