Eileen Rivera | Performance
Statera Foundation is excited to host the inaugural performance of, "The Red Thread", created and performed by Christine Jugueta, on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Christine will be joined by Rona Figueroa (Guitarist, Vocalist), Penny Larson (Drummer, Percussionist), Suellen Primost (Cellist), Eileen Rivera (Director), Belinda Yamate (Vocalist, Dramaturg, Co-Producer).
Eileen Rivera received her BFA in Acting from Boston University’s School of Theater Arts, after which she has performed at such venerable New York institutions as the Cherry Lane Theater, The Public, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, New York Theater Workshop, The Culture Project, Ma-Yi Theater, National Asian-American Theater Co., and Pan Asian Rep. She has performed regionally at Baltimore Center Stage, Virginia Stage Co., Perseverance Theater in Juneau, Alaska, and Studio Theatre in Washington, DC where she most recently performed in Qui Nguyen’s popular and beloved play VIETGONE. On TV, like many of her New York counterparts, she has acted in the “Law & Order” franchise. Eileen co-produced and acted in the short films Mildred, Daughter of Venus, and The Barrelman Caper. INS & Outs, another short she co-produced, was the Grand Prize Winner at the 2013 Asian American Film Lab 72-Hour Shootout. She wrote the autobiographical short Two Weeks, which has screened around the country and on television. She lives in Manhattan with her husband, theater and film director, Nelson T. Eusebio, III. Eileen is thrilled to be making her directorial debut with Christine Jugueta’s THE RED THREAD.
