EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Melinda Pfundstein Vaughn CEO and co-founder of Statera Foundation, Melinda is an actor, director, educator, mother, and advocate for women and the arts. She holds an MA in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University, where she also completed her undergraduate work in theatre and dance performance. She is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Theatre at her alma mater.  Regional credits include the Utah Shakespeare Festival (17 years),  Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, The Skylight and First Stage Children’s Theatre. Directing credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Utah Shakespeare Festival’s Shakespeare in the Schools Tour; The Spitfire Grill, RENT, Dancing at Lughnasa, the Mountain West BFA Actor Showcase in NY, and Touring Shows for Acclamation at Southern Utah University. A certified Pilates instructor, Melinda formerly owned and operated Breathe Pilates and Wellness in downtown Milwaukee. She is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, and received the 2001 Michael and Jan Finlayson Acting Award at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Melinda currently serves on the Board for the Cedar City Junior Ballet.

Regional acting credits include the Utah, Alabama, and Colorado Shakespeare Festivals, Paragon Theatre (Denver), Talisman Theatre (Chicago), The JET and Hilberry Repertory Theatres (Detroit), and currently, The Little Theatre of the Rockies in Colorado. Shelly has also performed with the Colorado Symphony and Greeley Philharmonic Orchestras (in A Midsummer Night’s Dream) and done film, television and radio work. Directing credits include Minnesota State University Moorhead, the University of Northern Colorado, Backstage Theatre in Breckenridge, CO and The Taming of the Shrew for the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s 2014 Shakespeare in the Schools tour. Shelly has also served as the Speech and Dialect Coach for the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. Shelly currently lives in Greeley, CO with her husband and two children.
