Lisa Tierney-Keogh | Breakout Session
In this breakout session, Irish playwright and activist Lisa Tierney-Keogh will speak about how #WakingTheFeminists mobilized so many people in Ireland to bring about gender equality in theatre. Incorporated into the session will be a safe, inclusive space for people to share their experiences and listen to the effects gender bias is having on women and the theatre community. All participants are welcome to give testimony, as so many did on the Abbey Theatre stage in Dublin in November of 2015 (#WakingTheFeminists public meeting). We will discuss how #WakingTheFeminists and US organizations can engage and work together for equity for all in the theatre.
