About Melinda

Executive Director and co-founder of Statera Foundation, Melinda is an actor, director, educator, mother, and advocate for women and the arts. She holds an MA in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University, where she also completed her undergraduate work in theatre and dance performance. She is currently serving as Assistant Professor of Theatre at her alma mater. 

Regional credits include the Utah Shakespeare Festival (17 years),  Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Renaissance Theaterworks, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, The Skylight and First Stage Children’s Theatre. Directing credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Utah Shakespeare Festival’s Shakespeare in the Schools Tour; The Spitfire Grill, RENT, Dancing at Lughnasa, the Mountain West BFA Actor Showcase in NY, and Touring Shows for Acclamation at Southern Utah University.

A certified Pilates instructor, Melinda formerly owned and operated Breathe Pilates and Wellness in downtown Milwaukee. She is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association, and received the 2001 Michael and Jan Finlayson Acting Award at the Utah Shakespeare Festival.

Melinda currently serves on the Board for the Cedar City Junior Ballet.
