Allison Watrous | Working Breakfast Facilitator
This year, Statera Conference programming will include "working breakfasts" where attendees can choose to share a meal with a group of people interested in a focused conversation surrounding a certain topic. During this working breakfast, Allison Watrous joins Jessica Austgen to facilitate a discussion about the ins and outs of being a teaching artist.
Allison has been a Teaching Artist with the Denver Center for the Performing Art for the past 18 years and currently serves as Director of Education. Allison is an actor, director and teacher. Recent roles include Corryn in Gidion’s Knot, Sally in Talley’s Folly and Meg in Crimes of the Heart all with Sis Tryst Productions and Kelly Young in the Denver Center’s production of Just Like Us. Recent directing credits include Brighton Beach Memoirs at Miners Alley and Big Love at the University of Denver. She will be directing Bus Stop at the Arvada Center next February. She taught at the New York Film Academy, TADA! And the New Victory Theatre in New York. Allison is on faculty of the University of Colorado Denver and Denver School of the Arts. She is a proud graduate of the National Theatre Conservatory.
